HP launches drupa 2016 with three new Latex printers

[China Packaging Network News] Hewlett-Packard will launch three new Latex printers at drupa 2016 to complement its product portfolio. The quality provided by the Latex printer is far superior to that of solvent printers, with more solid colors, exceptional fidelity and density. It allows companies to carefully select from a variety of flexible coating and non-coating materials, so that the business scope is no longer limited to vinyl and banner advertising, expanded to film, paper, fabric, canvas, wallpaper and so on.

Latex printers can be completely dry at the time of output and can be imprinted immediately to avoid waiting time. Unlike solvent technology, which does not require degassing, it can save 24-48 hours before lamination. With excellent scratch resistance, many short-term applications do not even require lamination at all. In addition, Latex printers deliver excellent results, and with HP Latex ink, jobs can be completed faster.

The three new printers are the Latex 560, Latex 570 and Latex 1500 printers. The Latex 560 and 570 printers with a roll width of up to 1.62 meters are 30%-50% faster than Latex 360, and the Latex 1500 with a roll width of 3.25 meters is said to have the best features for entry-level customers.

According to Joan Perez Pericot, head of large-size graphics at Hewlett-Packard’s Global Business Unit, we need to implement some of our customers' product requirements because we see the demand for higher printing capacity in the low-volume market. Latex 560 and 570 have 30% to 50% faster speeds, and others are the same as Latex 360. The new Latex 560 and 570 can be purchased from August. It can provide printing speeds of up to 23 square meters per hour. It is more compact than other devices. It can perform all tasks at the front of the printer, enjoy unattended high-speed printing, and print jobs. Space is doubled.

Latex 1500 has a wide range of print adaptability and can be printed on a variety of materials, including PVC banners, self-adhesive vinyl, and textiles, which also meet the needs of many customers. It can also achieve an indoor high quality print speed of 45 square meters per hour and an outdoor print speed of 74 square meters per hour.
