German prospects for recycled plastics

According to overseas media reports, a recent German market survey shows that recycled plastics have a promising future in the German market with a strong sense of environmental protection.

The German public has a strong sense of environmental protection. At present, Germany pays more attention to the recycling of packaging materials, and many supermarkets have different containers to sort and recycle the packaging that customers do not need.

At present, the recovery of packaging materials for retail goods in Germany is mainly divided into three categories: 1. Paper/Cardboard/Cardboard; 2. Light packaging materials (aluminum, white iron, plastic, mixed materials); 3. Glass (classified as colorless, green, and brown). After the paper is classified in the environmental protection recycling plant, it will be sent directly to the paper mill for recycling; similarly, the light packaging materials will be returned to various industries for supply; the colorless, green and brown glass Foreign material is removed, then crushed into pellets, and the glass factory is remade into new bottles.

The German Plastics Recycling Company (DKR) recently surveyed 1,015 German consumers between the ages of 16 and 70. The results showed that as many as 89% of the public agreed that plastics are widely remanufactured; half of them believe that plastics remanufacturing is very important; 82% of them are plastic recyclables. Give a good assessment; 63% oppose the suspension of plastics.

Volk Gibbs, general manager of DKR, said that, in principle, recycled plastics are suitable for a variety of different products, such as riding course tracks, drains, road surfaces, and even casual wear. Surveys have shown that plastic recycled products have generally been welcomed. Last year, the company reclaimed a total of 598,000 tons of recycled packaging materials, of which plastics for the first time exceeded other materials (plastics accounted for 306,000 tons and steel accounted for 292,000 tons).
